terrestrial laser scanner solution to support a range of research and teaching activities. Applications
will include, but are not limited to, measuring forest structure (e.g. extraction of parameters
including tree height, diameter at breast height, crown diameter, crown area, and woody volume),
monitoring river systems (e.g. estimation of channel/bank characteristics, changes in floodplain
sediment storage, grain size), and characterising the built environment (building survey and 3D
modelling).
